Movie review: Morning Glory

Rachel McAdams makes the movie. She works so hard to make her failing morning talk show succeed, that you can't help but cheer her on. (Though as one of our local newspaper reviews put it, in the end what you're cheering for is a victory of fluff over substance.) Diane Keaton is good as the long-time anchor who's willing to do anything on air--including kissing a frog--for ratings. Harrison Ford is good as the curmudgeonly "serious news guy," though sometimes his timing makes it seem like he is in a different movie.

Is it as good as Broadcast News? No. But it is an enjoyable 2 hours.
