Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty

I really liked some of Liane Moriarty's other books, but I did not love Truly Madly Guilty.
It starts out with a hint that something bad happened at an impromptu neighborhood barbecue party.
Then it takes 200 PAGES to tell you what happened. There's a lot of talking. And the main characters are for the most part not all that likeable. But I will say the pace kind of picks up for the last third of the book and there are a few genuinely touching moments. If you're new to Liane's work, I would recommend Big Little Lies or The Husband's Secret rather than this book.
