The Rooster Bar by John Grisham

My. this is a convoluted tale! Mark, Todd, Gordy, and Zola are all students at a third-rate law school/diploma mill, saddled with hundreds of thousands of dollars in student debt--and one semester away from graduating. Their prospects of getting decent jobs upon graduation are dim. And after something happens to one of their merry band, the others decide to follow a new path--pretending they're lawyers and going out and taking on cases. At the same time, they're trying to get back at the guy who owns all the diploma mill law schools. Eventually these two plot lines converge in a knuckle-biter of a finale. I'm still not quite sure I could explain everything that transpired.
Still and all, John Grisham knows how to tell a good story, and it's a quick read.
