End Game by David Baldacci

Government sharpshooters Will Robie and Jessica Reel are called in for a unique assignment--finding their boss, Blue Man, who has disappeared during a visit to his Colorado hometown. When they get there, they come across a lot of oddballs and anti-government groups--but very few clues as to what happened to their boss. And people keep shooting at them.

While the state of Colorado will not be sending this book out to entice tourists to visit, it is a good story with a page-turner of an ending.
