This is the latest installment in the excellent Elvis Cole/Joe Pike series.
PI Elvis is hired by a single mother who has discovered a Rolex watch in her son's possessions
and wants to know where it came from. The answer to that question turns out to be much more complicated--and dangerous--than Elvis or the mother thought. Elvis discovers that something else
the son "acquired" has more than monetary value for the owner, who will stop at nothing to get it back.
I love the character of Elvis, who's always quick with a quip but loyal to his clients and very protective of women and children. And I love his friendship with the mysterious Joe Pike. Can't wait for their next adventure.
