The Killer Collective by Barry Eisler

I love this series featuring John  Rain, Japanese-American master hit man with a conscience.
I seem to have missed a few volumes in this series because I was unfamiliar with Seattle cop, Livia Lone, or her previous adventures with John's friend, Dox. But it was easy to pick up the story without having read the earlier book.

John is contacted to kill a cop (who turns out to be Livia), but he declines.  Then someone tries to kill John while he's at his friend Horton's compound and Dox convinces them to join forces to help Livia out as she's trying to break up a dangerous pedophile ring with friends in high places--an endeavor that has almost gotten her killed--and has resulted in the death of the hacker who was helping her.

It's quite the page turner--with stops in Seattle, Virginia, and Paris. And it's nice to see John's former love Delilah reappear in his life.
