Justice Denied by JA Jance

Found another old JP Beaumont novel by JA Jance in the library's e-book section. Justice Denied starts with the death of a man who had turned his life around after leaving prison. JP (Beau) and his girlfriend Mel work for the Attorney General's office. He starts looking into that case as well as an old case involving a man who supposedly died when Mt St Helens erupted--though no trace of him was ever found.  Then Mel realizes that some cold sex offender cases she's been working on my tie into the cases Beau is working on, so they put their heads together. At the same time, Beau's daughter appear to be having a meltdown and Beau learns a lot more about Mel's past--some of which concerns him based on his history with his second wife, Anne. And there are nuns, a Harry I. Ball, and a number-cruncher with a crush on Mel to contend with. A good read. I hope I can find a few more e-books from this series at the library.
