Sex & Vanity by Kevin Kwan

 This is the latest from the author of the fabulous Crazy Rich Asians series. And it's an Asian spin on Room with a View. Our heroine is Lucie Churchill, who's half Asian and descended from yes, those Churchills. The action starts when Lucie and her chaperone, Cousin Charlotte, head to Capri for Lucie's friend's wedding. While there, she meets the infuriating George Zao--to whom, despite her protestations--she is mighty drawn. There is a scandal and she flees back to New York. Then we pick up the action 5 years later, when Lucie is engaged to the ostentatious billionaire and name-dropper Cecil Pike.But George keeps popping up in her life and she can't quite forget their sojourn in Capri.

It's a good, light summer read, though I liked the Crazy Rich Asians series a little better.
