Hello, Sunshine by Laura Dave

I have read other books by Laura Dave--Eight Hundred Grapes and The Last Thing He Told Me to name two--and liked them much better than this one.  So if you're new to this author, I would suggest starting with one of those two books instead.

Sunshine is an online cooking sensation and author of several successful cookbooks. She's up for a show on the Food Network and life looks good. Then someone hacks her and pretty much destroys her life. The book tells how she attempts to recover from losing everything to rebuild her life--and find out who was the one behind the hack. The premise is what caught my attention, but everyone in this book is so unlikeable and/or angry all the time (except Ethan the fisherman in the second half of the book and her adorable niece Sammy), that it wasn't that much fun to read.  I didn't have much sympathy for Sunshine. Her sister (yes, she is called Rain) spends the whole book mad at her. Her husband isn't speaking to her. And so on. Not exactly the leisure reading I'm in the mood for during a pandemic. And the ending was kind of abrupt and unfinished.
