Rise and Shine Benedict Stone by P. Patrick

 Benedict Stone, a jeweler in a small town in England, has wanted to be a father all of his life, but he and his wife have tried for years without success. Finally, she has had enough and when she can see Benedict won't give up, she takes a break from her marriage and moves into a friend's apartment. Benedict is heartbroken. One night, he gets a visitor--his teenage niece Gemma, whom he has never met. Gemma is the daughter of his estranged brother Charlie, who moved to America years earlier. Gemma said she needed a change of scenery and decided to come for a visit. She assures Benedict that her father knows where she is, but he has his doubts.
