Happy All the Time by Laurie Colwin

This book was originally published in 1978 and someone recently recommended it. So I tracked it down at the library. It's a quick and enjoyable read. I think the moral of the story is to enjoy the blessings that come your way--and don't look for trouble.

Guido and Vincent are cousins and best friends. Guido falls in love with Holly, though he never knows  what's really going on in her mind (which kind of drives him crazy). And Vincent falls in love with coworker Misty, who has a sharp tongue and is definitely not looking for romance. Both couples marry. And not much actually happens in the book --dinner parties, work, crazy relatives come visiting-- but it's an interesting character study.
