It Goes So Fast by Mary Louise Kelly

Mary Louise Kelly works for NPR, which takes her all over the world. The year her oldest son is a senior in high school she vows to spend more time with him before he leaves for college. This book is the story of that year.

Kelly has a cute sense of humor as seen when the school nurse called to tell her her youngest son was sick and wanted to know how long it would take her to get there. Since she was in Baghdad at the time, she figured it would take about 2 days.

Throughout the book, she flashes back to meeting her husband, the births of her sons, the death of her father, the milestones that make up a life. It's a charming book and it makes Mary Louise seem like someone you'd want to be friends with.
