Rising Tiger by Brad Thor

 This Scot Horvath novel is set in India and focuses on its conflict with China.Scot is sent there to find out who killed an American diplomat who was trying to set up a new version of NATO to counterbalance China's power in that part of the world.The other main plot features a feisty Indian agent who is trying to find out who shot down the helicopter carrying an important government official. Eventually her path and Scot's path cross, as they realize they may both be looking for the same person. It was a little confusing to have the story bounce between the 2 plot lines so I was glad when Scot and the Indian agent joined forces.

It's an interesting look at what's going on in another part of the world.
