Notorious Nineteen by Janet Evanovich

Stephanie Plum is back--and it's nice to see that she's not quite as incompetent of a bounty hunter as she used to be. True, it still takes her (and her colorful sidekick Lula) a while to bring in their man (or woman). But Steph is actually starting to develop decent investigative instincts. Of course, she's still torn between her attraction to hunky cop Joe Morelli and the mysterious Ranger. So there's a lot of flirtation interspersed between the firebombs and flight risks. All and all, Notorious Nineteen is a quick and entertaining read.
