After reading Summerland, I really want to visit Nantucket.
This lovely island is a popular vacation destination but it's also home to many
year-round residents. And they are the stars of this story.
On the night of the high school graduation, popular Penny Alistair, her star-athlete twin brother Hobby,
her boyfriend Jake and the less popular Demeter Castle are in a horrible car crash after a party on the beach. Ironically, Penny--the only one who hadn't been drinking--was at the wheel. How this close-knit community reacts and responds (and what led to the crash) are the crux of this story.
Elin Hilderbrand tells a good story. This is the second of her books I've read this summer and I will seek out more.
