Hot Pursuit by Stuart Woods

Hot Pursuit is the latest in the Stone Barrington series. Once again, wealthy lawyer and bon vivant Stone is ruled by his hormones and not his brains and makes yet another ill-advised choice of female companion. That leads to the two of them being stalked and shot at. One would think he'd have learned his lesson by now but clearly not. Other than that--and the excess of talk about how private jets work--it's a good beach book. While Stone and his new lady friend are gadding about England, Stone's friend (and sometimes more) Holly Barker and her assistant Millie are trying to thwart a terrorist plot. The latter was actually the more interesting story line.
