Killer by Jonathon Kellerman

I used to read all of Jonathon Kellerman's "Alex Delaware" books but for some reason stopped a while ago. But one of my friends gave me Killer, so I gave it a go.

For those of you unfamiliar with the series, Alex is a psychologist who often works with the LA police thanks to his friendship with cop Milo Sturgis. Alex gets drawn into a child custody case,
where one sister (a wealthy, single doctor) decides she would be a better mother than her sister is.
The other sister is kind of a free spirit but Alex can see that she is a good mother and he says so in court. Then the wealthy sister turns up dead and the other sister goes missing. And it takes Alex and Milo a while to figure out what happened to the sister, the mother, and the baby.

The story moves right along and you don't have to have read the other books in the series for this one to make sense. If you're in the mood for a mystery, this is a good choice.
