The Enemy Inside by Steve Martini

Lawyer Paul Madriani and his partner Harry Hinds, agree, as a favor to Paul's daughter, to take on a case of possible vehicular homicide. A poweful female lawyer has died and young reporter Alex has been arrested. Alex says he was invited to a fancy party by a beautiful woman, had one glass of champagne, then remembers nothing till he was pulled from his burning car.

Paul and Harry start investigating and soon realize there's a lot more at play than a simple car crash. Soon Alex's life is in danger as well as theirs--and they're not sure who's pulling all the strings. It's really quite the page turner.
