Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett has his hands full. Not only is he trying to track down a group of very elusive poachers, he's trying to find missing Dave Farkus--and worrying about his family's safety because nemesis Dallas Cates is out of jail and looking for revenge. Joe is responsible for Cates losing much of his family in the previous book in this fine series. So Cates feels it's only fair that Joe should lose his family in return.

It's a gripping tale and the tension mounts as Cates's actions and the level of violence escalate.
