The Take by Christopher Reich

The Take is an intriguing--and convoluted--tale.  The story starts with the theft of a priceless watch and (separately) the theft of a boatload of money from a Saudi prince. Simon Riske is an industrial spy who also restores expensive cars in London. He is called on by a secretive US government agent to retrieve something else that was stolen from the Saudi Prince--a mysterious letter the contents of which will not be disclosed to Riske.

It turns out that an old enemy of Simon's from his youth was involved in the heist, which gives him he even more motivation to catch the thief. Along the way, he crosses paths with a female French police detective, who is trying to solve the money part of the heist and they join forces.

There are a lot of moving parts to this story. But I couldn't put it down.
