Dark Sacred Night by Michael Connelly

In Dark Sacred Night, Connelly brings together the stars of 2 of his series--Harry Bosch and Renee Ballard. Their paths cross when Ballard, who works the night shift, finds Harry (retired from LAPD and now working for a smaller police department) digging through old LAPD files one night. She finds out that he is trying to solve a cold case--the murder of a girl named Daisy. Ballard becomes intrigued by the case and decides to help him in her spare time. At the same time, both are involved with their regular cop jobs, so there are a lot of other subplots going on. The two make an interesting team, so I look forward to their future adventures. If you're a Michael Connelly fan, you will find this an enjoyable read.
