Blue Moon by Lee Child

Blue Moon is the latest "Jack Reacher" novel. Reacher is on a bus and sees an old man about to get mugged when he gets off the bus, so he gets off and stops the mugging. Which lands him in a town in the middle of a gang war between Albanians and Ukrainians, which Reacher immediately gets caught up in. With the help of a feisty waitress named Abby and a couple of her friends, Reacher manages to save the day. I like the character of Reacher but I swear these novels are getting more and more violent. It seemed like at the beginning of the series, Reacher was more into using his brains than his brawn to right wrongs. Now he leaves behind a lot of casualties.

I was left with the question of how the elderly couple was going to explain their sudden wealth, but that didn't seem to bother Reacher when he hit the road and resumed his journey.
