Good Grief by Lolly Winston

Sophie becomes a widow in her 30s when her husband Ethan dies of cancer. And she finds she's not handling it well. Getting out of bed and dressed in the morning requires more energy than she has--to say nothing of actually performing her job in public relations. She finally decides to move to Oregon to stay with her old friend Ruth and try to pick up the pieces. But she still struggles, not sure where she belongs anymore or what to do with the rest of her life.

I liked that there wasn't an easy resolution for Sophie's problems. Moving to Oregon leads to different challenges--many of them presented by Sophie's "Little Sister" Crystal (who is a handful), her mother-in-law's dementia, and an on-again, off-again flirtation with a handsome actor. But Sophie eventually gets her life on a new and more hopeful track.
