 This is the newest Joe Pickett (Wyoming game warden) adventure. Joe is still recovering from his last adventure when he is called to check out a dead moose. Only the dead moose turns out to be a dead man. Who turns out to be the same man who dropped off an album of Nazi photos at the library where Joe's wife works. What is going on?

At the same time, Joe's best friend Nate is still recovering from an attack by the odious Axel, who beat Nate's wife and stole Nate's falcons. Since Nate's falcons are his livelihood, and because he's angry about his wife getting attacked, Nate sets off to find Axel. Along the way, he gets help from a fellow falconer named Geronimo. The action keeps flipping between the 2 main plots and we finally find out what Axel's master plan was. Good story, good characters. And I liked Geronimo.
