The Little Italian Hotel by Phaedra Patrick

I was looking for a good summer read and found it in The Little Italian Hotel. Ginny hosts a radio show in Britain where she plays music and offers advice. One day, someone calls in and asks her how well she knows her own husband (as in, maybe your own life isn't so perfect). Shaken, Ginny realizes her husband has started wearing "too young" jeans and fake tanner. Then she discovers his online dating profile. When she announces that she has booked a surprise trip to Italy for their 25th anniversary, he announces that he wants a divorce. Since she can't change the trip booking, she decides to take a handful of her radio show listeners with her instead. They congregate at a clean but slightly shabby hotel run by Nico and his teenage daughter, Loretta.

To qualify for the trip, each person had to be suffering from heartbreak. To help them bond, Ginny lets each member of the group pick an activity that everyone has to join in. These range from going dancing to playing bingo. Not everyone wants to participate, but Ginny makes them, and soon the group starts bonding and mending their broken hearts. All the while Ginny is trying to mend her own broken heart. It's a sweet story of friendship and support.
