We Solve Murders by Richard Osman

The Thursday Murder Club author has started an entertaining new series with We Solve Murders.

Steve is a retired cop whose beloved wife, Debbie, died.  He is settling into small-town British countryside life without her when he gets a message from his daughter in law, Amy, who works as a bodyguard. Someone is trying to kill her and frame her for three murders and she needs his help because he's the only person she can trust (who might be able to help her figure out what is going on). So Steve reluctantly gets on a plane and heads off to help Amy, who still has the person she was guarding, flamboyant author Rosie D'Antonio, tagging along. The three travel the world trying to find out who is trying to kill/frame Amy and who really did kill three innocent people. It's a charming story told with a sense of humor. And I can't wait to see what Steve and Amy are up to next.
