Code Red by VInce Flynn/Kyle Mills

 Code Red is a recent Mitch Rapp (roving CIA agent) adventure. On a previous adventure, Mitch had to ask a favor of crime lord Damian Losa. Now Damian has called for his payback. He wants Mitch to pretend to be a Canadian lawyer who is representing him. Damian has discovered that Syria has developed a lucrative (and very addictive) drug and he wants in on it. Mitch is supposed to be his negotiator but things don't go as planned. Mitch discovers that the Russians are the real masterminds behind the drug and they are planning on flooding the west with it because in its souped-up state, it can cause permanent damage, which will work to Russia's advantage. When Mitch finds that out, he decides this plan has to be stopped, no matter what Damian wants. It's quite the page-turner.
