Jeanie is an administrative assistant in Boston who finds her boss dead at his desk one day. She decides she needs a change so when her aunt offers her Pumpkin Spice Cafe in small-town Dream Harbor, she accepts. She keeps crossing paths with hunky farmer Logan, who is still recovering by being "burned" by his former girlfriend and not eager to start up a new romance. But he and Jeanie are clearly drawn to each other. And as they join forces to fight ghosts, deal with bad weather, and endure nosy neighbors, they slowly get closer.
