If You Like New York

I'm currently reading the newest Linda Fairstein, Hell Gate. It's part of a series set in NYC featuring a lawyer for the district attorney's office who specializes in sex crimes. What I have found most intriguing about this series is the way the author uses the city of New York as her canvas. She has found all kinds of interesting locations in the New York City area to use as settings. In this one, Gracie Mansion, home of the mayor, plays a large role. I have learned quite alot about the history of New York City by reading these books and have been making a list of places I'd like to visit if I ever make it back to the Big Apple. Plus she tells a good story.
