Movie review: The Social Network

The action is fast paced. The dialog is sharp. And they've even managed to make the computer stuff intelligible to us non computer people. The Social Network is definitely worth seeing.

Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield are perfectly cast as computer geek Mark Zuckerberg and his best friend/Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin. Much of the story is told in flashbacks, as Zuckerberg goes through depositions for two separate lawsuits about who really owns the rights to Facebook. By the end, you can't help feeling a little sorry for Zuckerberg who, despite all his money, doesn't seem to have much of a real-life social network.

  1. I didn't feel sorry for Zuckerburg - his real life friendless state is clearly a problem of his own making. I did feel sorry for his friend and I was seriously tempted to delete my facebook account after seeing the movie. I did enjoy it though and agree that it was fast paced and well cast.

  2. It occurred to me that Zuckerberg might have Asperger's syndrome or something like that. He seemed to have a real problem with human interaction.

    Thanks for the comment.
