Vintage Affair by Isabel Wolff

Is it great literature? No. But is it an engaging story? Yes.

While struggling to deal with the death of her best friend, a broken engagement, and her father's new family, Phoebe Swift decides to leave her job at a prestigious auction house and open a vintage clothing store in London. Along the way, she finds two suitors and makes some new friends, including an elderly widow who's struggling with issues of her own. If you're into fashion, you will enjoy this book, as Wolff lovingly describes the hand stitching and unique beading on various Diors and Cardins. But even if you're not into fashion, it's a good story, well told.
