19th Christmas by Jas Patterson and Maxine Paetro

It's just before Christmas in San Francisco and the world is relatively peaceful. Then Detective Lindsay Boxer and her cop buddies start hearing rumors of a big heist coming up for Christmas involving a mystery man named Loman. The problem is, Loman is not in their data base and they have no clue where the heist will take place because the rumors range from the mint to the airport to a jewelry store to an art gallery, pushing the cops to their limit. At the same time, Cindy the reporter is working on a story about how illegal immigrants celebrate Christmas. During her research, she comes across a woman who says her husband was framed for murder and has been stuck in jail for 2 years. Cindy drags Yuki the DA into trying to free the man for Christmas. (Claire the medical examiner member of the Women's Murder Club is in San Diego for most of this book).

As usual, it's a good story and a quick read for these cold winter days.
