25 Alive by Jas Patterson and Maxine Paetro

 The story starts with the death of retired cop Warren Jacobi. Lindsay Boxer is devastated at the loss of her dear friend and former partner. But she is determined to find his killer.At the same time, DA lawyer Yuki is trying the case of a possible serial rapist who may have killed one of his friends in front of a witness. The first day of the trial, it becomes clear that everyone involved--including the judge and jury--are at risk of retribution if they find the man guilty--which leads to oving the trial to a secure building on the grounds of Folsom Prison. Reporter Cindi is working on a story about a man whose 2 former wives died under mysterious circumstances, which may relate to an open police case. And oh, by the way, Lindsay's FBI husband Joe is missing in Mexico. There's a lot going on for the Women's Murder Club in these 300 pages. It's a quick and compelling read and I always enjoy checking in with the Women.
