Back After This by Linda Holmes

Cecily works for a company that does podcasts. She's the one that everyone calls when there's a problem. But what she wants to do is produce her own podcast. Her wishy washy boss promises to let her if she'll agree to star in a dating podcast where a romance coach named Eliza will pick out 20 men for her to date, with the finale airing on Valentine's Day. Because the company is weathering some rough times, she reluctantly agrees to do it to save her job and her produce friend Julie's job. The problem is, right before she is supposed to meet the 20 planned dates, she accidentally meets Will, a guy she really likes. And when he accidentally pops up as the waiter on her first date, the fans of the podcast all think he's perfect for her, which is not what Eliza wants to hear. Mayhem and soul-searching ensue.

It's an entertaining romp. You're cheering for Cecily and Will--and booing for the people who are trying to keep them apart. I had to laugh at Eliza's "carefully vetted" dates. One turned out to be technically still married. One was moving out of the country. A couple told her at the end of their date that it wasn't going to work out. It made me wonder just where she found these guys.
