The Smart One by Jennifer Close

Weezy Coffey and her husband Will finally have the house to themselves when one by one their grown children move back in with them. Chaos ensues. Daughter Claire ends up back home when her engagement falls apart and she realizes she can't afford their NYC apartment on her own. Daughter Martha's nursing career took a detour to a stint at J Crew and she's trying to figure out what comes next. And some unexpected news sends son Max fleeing back to the family manse with his beautiful girlfriend Cleo (who spends one entire week at the shore with the family clad only in a bikini). It's an interesting look at families and how you drive each other crazy but are there for each other when it counts. The Smart One reminded me a lot of The Arrivals by Meg Mitchell Moore, which had a similar premise.
