The President is Missing by James Patterson and Bill Clinton

This thriller is amazingly topical, with cyber attacks, partisan politics, problems with North Korea and Russia, and talk of impeachment. The basic premise is that the President of the United States, a widower and former military man, gets word that a massive cyber attack is going to blow out the whole internet and electric grid of the United States. The president is being threatened with impeachment for supposedly cozying up to the terrorist behind the cyber attack (which of course he didn't do). He's also battling serious health issues that he's trying to keep under wraps. And because that's not enough, he thinks there's a traitor on his staff who may be involved with the cyber attack. So he sets off on his own to try to stop the cyber virus--and save the country--before it's too late. While a few sections were a little preachy in my humble opinion, it is a good story and a very quick read. The book is over 500 pages and I plowed through it in 24 hours.

Hopefully there will be a follow-up volume, since I really liked the main character (and the book is selling well).
