When Life Gives You Lululemons by Lauren Weisberger

If you're in the mood for some good summertime chick lit, check out When Life Gives You Lululemons. The story stars Emily, the former assistant to Miranda Priestly in the Devil Wears Prada, who is now based in L.A. and running her own image consulting firm. Emily's business has hit a slow patch and so she jumps at the chance to help out Karolina, the beautiful wife of a very ambitious senator. Karolina has been arrested for drunken driving with her stepson and his friends in the car. She swears she wasn't drunk and indeed demanded a breathalyzer, which the police never administered. To help Karolina, Emily has to move to Greenwich, Conn, which is like a foreign land to her. A land of Lululemon-clad moms, extravagant parties, and plastic surgery on unexpected body parts. With the help of their lawyer friend (now stay-at-home mom), Mariam, and a little help from Miranda herself, Emily manages to put Karolina's life back on track and help her see what track she wants her own life to be on. Great beach read.
